 Our Story

 

My mother was a passionate baker, and for as far back as I can remember, the aroma of freshly baked cookies wafted through the air of our house. When we sat around the lunch table at school, we realized how lucky we were--while the other kids had basic store-bought cookies, we had ate scrumptious homemade chocolate chip cookies or rich chocolate brownies.

At college, away for the first time, I lived in a dorm and wasn’t able to bake. And store-bought goodies just did not make the ache of homesickness go away. So my mom started sending me care packages filled with my favorites—chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodles, oatmeal cookies and brownies. Somehow mom was able to capture what love meant and baked it into those cookies.   Once my son Zach went off to college, I sent him care packages. To me, they’re a way to say “I love you.”

That was the inspiration behind Scenic Made artisanal care packages. They’re made with the same special feeling that my mom baked into every batch of her cookies, and that I put in every care package I send. That love is why we make them from the finest all-natural, sustainable ingredients.
